Just finished teaching my very first piano lesson to Beth. I now know for sure that Faye Rounds (my piano teacher for 10 years) should recieve some kind of medal or award, perhaps sainthood would be appropriate....

Actually Beth did pretty good, I just hope that I can be patient and encouraging enough to keep it fun for her. The hardest part of the whole thing was trying to get Nick to understand not to interupt me during the lesson. He just can't stand to have Beth doing something on her own with me. he says he wants to start lessons too, but I think I need to let Beth get a good headstart on him becuase he is so darn competative.

Our super reader, Beth. We had a parent teacher conference yesterday. She went from a level 3 reader at the beginning of the year to a level 3 reader at the end of first term, now at the end of the 2nd term she is a level 10!! way to go Beth. Keep reading.

She also has gone from the lowest spelling group to the 2nd highest spelling group.

Nick and Dennis love doing their hair into "mohawks". So we tried to get a picture with all three boys with mohawks. It cracks me up to see Nick in the bathroom getting his hair wet and trying to put his hair into a mohawk for school in the morning. He is so into being "cool". Dennis of course just looks up to his big brother so he has to do the same as him just because.
